These two beautiful Bassets came to see me in two separate sessions. The first was Bea as a gift for someone's birthday. Lucy's session was for a senior dog since she was 12 years old and had Lymphoma. When we planned for Lucy's images Bea came along. I was really happy since I really wanted to get them both in a photo with the sunset.
Bea is a hilarious girl with a silly little personality once she gets to know you. I ran into Bea and her Mom at Paradise Pets while dropping off my boys the other morning and when I said her name, she came flying out the back of the car and into my arm for kisses. Nothing like Basset Hound hugs and kisses to start off a work day.
Lucy was a sweet and very calm girl. She was so loving to all people and cared more about affection than getting treats. A big difference from Bea who LOVES her treats. Lucy would go to work with her Mom and was a big assist in therapy session.
Both of these amazing girls were such a joy to meet and it was an honor to photograph them. I always take great joy in meeting a senior dog that has had such a wonderful life. Sadly, since our session Lucy has passed away. Her parents miss her greatly.
