Animals have always been a constant in my life. I was raised in Southern Louisiana, with your typical pets but we also had farm animals, horses and I also kept reptiles for quite sometime. I have respect for and experience with a variety of animals of all sizes.
In 2008 I started my photography business in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois taking portraits of people, weddings and working with rescue groups. After 3 years I realized I wanted to focus on pet photography. I am a firm believer that to be a good pet photographer you must respect your subjects and take the time to understand their needs and their behavior.
I enjoy every single moment with my camera and the animals I get to photograph. My goal with every session is to create timeless fine art images that represent your pet's individual personality and to create a beautiful piece of art for your wall.
I am a member of Professional Photographers of America and I enjoy entering images into print competitions. In 2016, I was awarded platinum photographer at International Photographic Competition. So far in 2017 four of my images merited at North Central districts, with one being recognized as 1st Place in Animal Portraits.
I have been featured in the Petco Foundation calendar in 2013 and 2014. The Daily Dog Tag has featured my Sighthound Project to help me get the word out. One of my biggest accomplishments was in 2016 being published in Harpers Bazars- Town & Country (UK) Winter 2016 issue. The image selected was one from my ongoing Sighthound Project.
My husband Chris and I share our home with 2 older dogs and 1 senior cat. With our son all grown up, Monty and Mojo are our spoiled little fur kids and we shower them with attention.
